Northside Lions Club

Since 1957, the Northside Lions have been steadfast in meeting the commitment of all Lions adhering to the motto “WE SERVE”.

Lions across the world act in local groups to seek out all forms of community need and develop ways to serve and satisfy those needs.  Initially called “Knights for the Blind” by Helen Keller, Lions continue to aid the sightless, promote sight conservation, and do so much more.

Core service comes through the Texas Lions Camp, provided at no cost to physically disabled and diabetic children, as well as the Lions Sight Research Center, The Lions Low Vision Center and its Mobile Eye Screening Unit, all established in collaboration with the UT Health Science Center, and numerous other Lions District 2-A2 programs.

The Northside Lions Club directly supports many individual children and families in need and acts as a mini “united way”, working hand-in-hand with agencies and other non-profit organizations including: Child Guidance Center, Seton Home, St Vincent de Paul, SAMM Ministries, Any Baby Can, Respite Care, USO, Special Olympics, Wesley Community Center, Morgan’s Wonderland, CROP Walk, and many others, with 100% of all funds raised being donated to charitable organizations.

Wherever there is need in the community, Lions are there. Lions Clubs are located in 205 countries around the world and are first on the scene whenever disaster strikes. Working through the Lions Clubs International Foundation, all Lions are able to lend immediate support to those communities where an earthquake, flood, or tornado has occurred, by funneling that support through their Lion brothers and sisters who live in those communities.

Lions Clubs are always looking for good men and women with serving hearts to join their Clubs and bring that special passion that they have for their own special cause.

We invite you to Contact Us for more information on volunteering and getting involved with the Northside Lions Club, and feel free to Join Us at our Club meetings to see how the Northside Lions have changed the motto to “We Serve and Have Fun Doing It”.
